The asian carp has posed a threat the Michigan waters for over 10 years. The giant fish has slowly worked its way up the Mississippi and now it is pushing its way though chicago. I believe the fish will inevitably make its way into the great leads and flourish before 2015. I think the DNR is taking the wrong steps to prevent the fish from destroying a near 7 billion dollar fishing industry. I do not believe this fish needs to be eradicated from the waters of michigan. I do believe tuff measures need to be taken and things need to be done in order to have a equal balance among all the native and non native fish species in Michigan. So I purpose that we take a look at their habitat and find ways to put stains on them instead of attempting to spend millions on something that has absolutely no chance of working.
